Let’s talk coffee!! We got this wonderful machine 1 1/2 years ago and there has not been one day that I regretted this purchase. Meet the Nespresso VertuoLine Coffee and Espresso Maker!! It will be your new BFF!!! (Sorry old BFF, you’ve been replaced)
Ok, so let’s be real…. when Jason came to me and really wanted this, I was like NO!!! We had a keurig and I thought that was enough. I drank my 1-2 cups of coffee a day and I enjoyed my occasional treat at Starbucks, what more could a girl ask for?!?! Then we went to a friend’s house who had the Nespresso VertuoLine Coffee and Espresso Maker and I quickly learned just what an exceptional cup of coffee tasted like!! I was sold!!!
First: The machine itself is extremely well-built, the packaging felt very high-end. The lines are beautiful and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. The reservoir is a nice size and having the capsule container attached helps keep things tidy. The included milk frother is just as beautiful and possibly the best coffee accessory I’ve seen. THIS IS A GAME CHANGER for your latte!! HOLY MOTHER OF ALL THINGS YUMMY!!!!
Second: The coffee. Just wow. In addition to the idea of prepackaged coffee, I was a little hesitant because of the price of the capsules. At $1.10 a cup ($.85 for espresso pods), I thought it was a little expensive. But here’s the thing: This coffee is beyond amazing. Each cup is flawless, with a thick rich crema and perfectly balanced coffee, regardless of blend. Definitely worth the price. Am I the only one who wants a cup of dark roast right now??
Yes, Nespresso has their Virtuoline pod line locked down so you have to order your coffee directly from them, but I see that as a good thing because they have complete control over quality! We appreciate and value of this coffee so we will only make what we need. Another thing I simply LOVE about this company is … you get a UPS prepaid recycling bag for FREE with every order!!! They pay for us to recycle their pods!! That was one thing that always bothered me with the keurig, I felt guilty about the waste. GUESS WHAT ELSE??? I can’t drink Starbucks anymore … it just doesn’t compare!!! I was a Starbucks lover too and now it just feels like a waste of money when I can make better at home.
I am just as in love with my Nespresso Coffee Maker as much today as when the day I got it!! Have you had a cup of Nespresso? Tell me about it!
